Fallout 3 Pitt DLC out

Auto Axes and mutant cures for all
Fallout 3's second downloadable content pack, The Pitt, is now available for purchase on Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80).

So says Microsoft's blurb: "Pittsburgh was once the industrial center of the pre-war world. The city was spared the horrors of nuclear fire, only to have its people infected by a nightmare plague of disease, infection, and mutation.

"Travel to the ruins of this industrial city, now called The Pitt, and discover a secret that could send shockwaves through the entire Wasteland. Battle vicious mutated Trogs, employ deadly new weapons like the AutoAxe and Infiltrator silenced assault rifle, and decide the fate of the infected slaves and slavers that call this city home. Only you can find the cure - but will you have the guts to use it?"

Bethesda's next DLC pack, Broken Steel, is due out within the next few months.

Any reason the version of the Pitt I have is unplayable?
Damn thing crashes whenever I enter the Pitt itself.
Also, maybe it just me but there's huge exclamation marks everywhere that cause instant death when you go near them.

Can anyone tell me how big this is? (xbox player)

Thanks. (wondering if I'll have to delete Jade Empire...)

Erm..where to buy??

It's only available via Games for Windows live on PC or Xbox Live.

I'd be very carefull with this, tons of reports on various forums about how broken this DLC is, not just little buglets, huge showstoppers!!!

Do you remember how big the download was mate?
JimSteele on 24 Mar '09
download was 492 MB
blackholes on 24 Mar '09
Ah, pretty slim then. Cool thanks.

Seems odd, there are 8 pages of people with issues here > http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=969897&st=140

Hangs, crashes, missing textures, missing models, glitched buildings etc etc.

I was/am really looking forward to this, but certainly won't be downloading it till all the issues are cure.

Interesting thing about the size, there is some discrepency about the size, some people are saying their download was 300mb, some 600mb, others 492mb, very odd.

Mine is 492MB - queued on xbox.com.

Bethesda are getting a LOT of heat right now, I'm kinda hoping they patch it by the days end or something, took the day off for it...
Skyly on 24 Mar '09
the content is screwed and pretty much un-plable. looks they they have put a incomplete version on MP.
it freezes and has corrupted my last game save aswell.
no1striker83 on 24 Mar '09
If there are discrepencies about the size of the download, that might be the reason why there are problems. Corrupt download files would appear differently on different machines.

Hopefully this gets sorted out soon, I'm looking forward to playing it, but I won't be getting it until I know it's ready to go.

Mind you the first DLC pack downloaded and ran without any problems, I wonder what went wrong.

Floating red exclamation marks, missing graphics, see through walls rocks etc, floating enemies - money back.
ormolfc on 24 Mar '09
I'll be waiting for a fix first then myself.
