The next piece of downloadable content for Fable II will be released in "weeks", Lionhead chief Peter Molyneux reckons.
"The next DLC comes out in the spring," Molyneux told Kotaku. "We're in the spring now so don't think months, think more like weeks. It's called See the Future."
Molyneux says that the See the Future DLC will be more story driven and far less rushed to Marketplace than the last pack, Knothole Island.
"The first (DLC) was done very close to Fable II and the team was tired and we sort of pushed ourselves to get something out early for the fans," he said.
"This time we've taken a little bit more time on it, it's a little bit more story driven. It answers some of the questions, if you're a real fan of Fable, it answers some of those questions. It's going to test you a little bit emotionally as well. But I think the real unique thing here is it starts to tease and hint at what it starting to happen in the world of Albion and what is happening in the future."
I currently have millions of gold in the Fable 2 bank and the best weapons available. Maybe this content will test these skills, either way, I'll still enjoy it.
Im not expecting DLC on the scale of GTA IV: TLAD (I cant see anyone but R* doing DLC on this scale) but I would expect any new DLC for Fable 2 to be better than the last one we got.
Fable 2 was one of my favourite games last year and the chance to play through it again and expand the story would be a deffo for me.
I loved Fable 2, but Knothole Island was a bit brief and by the humbers.
I haven't played Fable2 since I got my 360 replaced and the last one sounded like ten planes taking off (even when installed) instead of the usual one and seemed to be the beginning of the end for my 360. So I'm kind of scared of putting it back in the drive!
If, IF it's a meaty DLC package (maybe 7-10 hours worth) that further expands the Fable universe and the Fable 2 storyline, and ties in directly with the plot of Fable III?
