Ubisoft names Driver: The Recruit

By means of copyright filing
Ubisoft has named new Driver game, The Recruit, by means of a copyright listing spotted on the US Patent and Trademark Office. The publisher was confirmed to be working on the new Driver instalment after the BBC spilt the beans during a visit to its Newcastle development studio, Ubisoft Reflections, last summer.

A job listing even earlier last year advertised a job for "an experienced and skilled storyboard artist for a short-term contract to work on games being developed for Xbox360 and PlayStation 3," so those are probably the platforms.

Ubisoft's yet to say anything on the record. We'll let you know when it does.

Hope this one's better than Driv3r, strangely enough that game was fun in a glitchy way.

Wasn't a Driver game cancelled a few years ago for PS3? Hopefully this will be a full reboot for the series, Driver 3 and Parallel Lines were awful.

So they thought Driv3er was an acceptable name for the third game but didn't go with "DrIVer" for the fourth?

What's wrong with them?

The first driver was awesome. I used to live in a massive shared house and it was Driver that finally broke the "GTA one life each" every night for god knows how long.

Just go back 2 being abou the driving and no more getting out the car then this may be decent
