New Call Of Duty Map Pack screens

Take a look at World At War's second map pack here
Treyarch has sent out a load of images for the imaginatively titled Call Of Duty: World At War Map Pack 2. And here they are.

The new DLC contains three maps, Banzai, Corrosion and Subs Pen. Here's how the developer describes each map:

  • Banzai - A medium sized and bright map, centred around control of a tall river bridge.
  • Corrosion - Taking place in a Russian train yard, this multi-tiered map has players both above and below you.
  • Subs Pen - The bombed out submarine base offers lots of close up fighting, in this tightly-designed map.

Got that? Good. There's no word on new zombie map 'Shi No Numa'. But we're betting they're saving that one for later down the line. The first multiplayer map pack was downloaded over a million times, so expect this one to do big business too.

Banzai! That was a brilliant TV Show, bring it back.

Still need to get a hold of WAW, holding off until it's a bit cheaper, but all this DLC is making me want it Crying or Very sad

They need to sort out the party problems because untill they do i wont even play again because it p**ses me off not being able to play with my mates.

Does anyone else on here have the same problems? I see many forums complaining about it but no answers to fixin it.

Eh? I've never had any problems playing it with mates. You just invite them surely?

Or are you referring to the PS3 iteration?

I get the occasional problem when in a party.

It used to happen all the time. If I was in a party it would never be able to connect to a game, it would always get an error.

The last update seemed to fix the majority of the problems, although it still does happen occasionally.

The only work around is to just invite people to the game, and not a party. Or if you're joining one of your mates use the 'join session in progress' option.

Once it's found a game you're able to then go into a party, and as long as you don't come back out to the main screen it carries on working fine.

I always seem to have problems inviting friends into a party, I always assumed it because im using a wired connection. Map Pack 2 looks awesome, lets hope it doesnt cost Ł8 again
ChrisRocko on 21 May '09
Yes im on my ps3 wen this happens.... Sometimes we can invite each other no problems. Sometimes we have to invite in a certain order and sometimes it just doesn't happen at all.
spud-o on 21 May '09
I've heard it mentioned that if the person hosting the lobby and the person hosting the live friends party are the same then this can cause problems with connecting to games. If you have different people hosting the two that should solve it.

It will definetely cost at least Ł8 (800 points), it wouldn't surprise me if they boosted it up to 1200 points. (dam Stranglehold maps are still priced 1200 points, maight be due to the extra 250 GS which WAW won't offer).

The maps are looking pretty good though, might invest to work towards my 10 prestige, could help if I get 1 prestige though.

The sub map looks awfully familiar - like a certain sub-base map from the original COD / UO
