PSP Go launch marks a new era
Sony plans to make "just about" every PSP UMD game released after October 1 (the PSP Go launch) available for download via PSN.

Speaking on the US PS Blog, Sony man Jeff Rubenstein said: "It's my understanding that just about everything hitting after October 1 will be available for download."

He did however insinuate that that the availability of third-party titles will be decided by the publisher/developer.

The release of the PSP Go, which only plays downloaded games due to its lack of a UMD drive, will mark the start of Sony's PSN onslaught, having previously said it will make some currently released UMD games available over the service, along with a flurry of PSone titles this year.

Thumbs up to Sony - UMD's are crap anyway. If they get the pricing right, this could be spot on!

The piracy issue is a concern - not that it isn't already!!!

so does this mean that for anyone without a wireless internet connection the PSPGo will be useless? I use a wired connection with my PS3 so this move by Sony seems like its cutting off every customer with a wired internet connection or anyone who doesnt have the internet!
