C&C 4 in development?

Survey suggests it is, EA says nothing...
An online survey is asking C&C fans what they'd like to see from the future of its C&C franchise. "We'd like to invite you to tell us your thoughts about your playing habits and gaming experiences with Command & Conquer and EA," it says.

The questionnaire asks users what features jump out at them from the following overview. "Command & Conquer 4 allows C&C fans to finally experience the epic conclusion to the 15-year Tiberium saga with innovative RPG-like player progression, persistent in both single player and Multiplayer modes, co-op play, and new stylized, live-action cinematics."

It also asks which features you'd most like to see in a future version of C&C from the following list:

  • Play in the first RTS game with MMORPG like player progression in which you are rewarded every time you play. Every unit you kill in single player, multiplayer, or skirmish gives you experience points that allows you to level up your abilities and unlock new units, powers, and upgrades to your arsenal.

  • Play with all new, bigger and badder, units from GDI and Nod, including the Crawler, the first ever mobile base in RTS games.

  • Play the campaign on your own or tackle it with a friend, as co-operative campaigns return.

  • Play in epic 5 vs 5 online multiplayer with all new objective-based game modes

  • Introducing the first mobile base in RTS games: The Crawler. Focus on the action as the Crawler becomes your all-in-one base, which can be deployed and redeployed anywhere on the battlefield for even more strategic options.

  • Dive into an all-new story written by a new scriptwriting team and told through trademark C&C cinematics taken to the next level with grittier, stylized FMVs in the vein of Minority Report.

  • Play in the first ever class-based C&C game - a new challenge for C&C and RTS players to master.

So it sounds like work on C&C 4 is already underway in some capacity. Shacknews contacted EA about the survey and got the inevitable: "We have nothing to confirm regarding the C&C franchise at this time."

C&C FTW. The Crawler sounds pretty epic, I always liked creating massive bases, and this sounds like a quicker way to do all that. Although surely the main guy in Total Annihilation was a mobile base?

C&C: Generals 2 please.

Another survey making the news.

I wouldn't complain if there was another C&C in the works, I've enjoyed them all so far.

Hammy acting FTW!

I have the latest C+C for the PS3 sat on top of my wardrobe. Its a present for me but my Birthday isn't until friggin' August! Evil or Very Mad

Loved the demo very much and the added t**s and bottom was more than welcome.

C&C 4!!! YIPPEEE!!!!!!!!! I love Kane!!!! Since his introduction in the first C&C back in 1996 (or whenever it was) I have loved him. He has so much depth to his character and his tie to tiberium is epic!! KANE KANE KANE!!!!

C&C is dead to me now I used to love the series but the last few have been utter b******s.

I vowed after forking out for the last one I would NEVER BUY C&C again and since I am no pirate that means I wont be playing it.

This will have to be a PC exclusive game. Ps3 and 360 experience big slowdown on 2v2 maps with 50 unit cap, which is a disappointment for someone like me whose PC will never handle it Sad
