We thought the world had learned from Ubisoft's Red Steel trailers how rubbish it looks when you get random people to jump about in a bedroom holding Wii Remotes for the purposes of a trailer.

Sega didn't see the piss-taking threads in gaming forums, clearly, because that's what it's done with this Conduit trailer. Cringe worthy quotes, bad acting and ridiculously over-exaggerated gaming 'fun' all feature.
What a crap advert. It's like only EA seem to know how to make good Wii adverts. I love the Tiger Woods 2010 AD. Anyway im still buying this even though this trailer was appalling and so not the way to sell this title.
Lol, despite the crappy advert this game is awesome. It's been very harshly reviewed imo, and deserves a score of 8/10 on the visuals and multiplayer alone. I haven't had so much fun online since I played the PC SKU of Halo 1 years ago.
True, it is an old-school run and gun FPS but it does get pretty hectic and intense at times...and there's plenty of replay value with hidden goodies to find. Reviewers have complained about the story but it's an FPS ffs lol, who really gives a monkey's at the end of the day..? You play FPS games to kill things, and there's plenty of things to kill.
Pre-order this (or buy it!) as soon as you can afford it, you won't regret it. IGN got their review about right imo.
bin playin this game for over a week now and ign have their review spot on in my view.4/10 from edge is a stupid score, the campain alone is worth higher than that, im on 91% (closure) which is more than ive ever done on the call of duty games mainly due to the online play being addicting as hell, the only bad things i would say about the conduit is their alot of hallways and you cant run in multiplayer which does my head in.
WAIT A SECOND NINTENDO HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS ITS A SEGA ADVERT ON A SEGA PUBLISHED GAME IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH NINTENDO OR wii AGAIN SONY FANS MAKE FOOLS OF THEM SELFS TALKING ASSS TALK
I BET HIGH VOLTAGE AFTER ALL THERE CORE FPS TALK AND AMASSING CONTROLS AND FULL CUSTOMIZATION
ARE FUMING WITH SEGAS IDIOT MARKETING SEGA YOU SHOULD BE PIUSHING THE GREAT CONTROLS NOT TAKING AWAY FROM THEM WITH HYPE ADDS
The game definitely didn't live up to hype, because it was being propped up as a 9+ quality game. It did definitely meet the hype as far as being a good game, with awesome controls and a good online. The single-player mode is very linear and is pretty short. But the short-length (about 8 hours average) is perfect for the run and gun style of the game.
The visuals are definitely hit and miss. The character models are great throughout. But many of the backgrounds are bland. And if any of you remember some of the old Hannah Barbara and the Warner Bros cartoons of the 60s...well, remember those scenes where the characters are running and the same background keeps repeating?
But there are some great effects for the Wii. The zoom feature on the scopes, for instance.
Online is great fun. Always players online and the games for me thus far have been without hiccups.
Can't wait for some of you guys in the UK to join in, cause that'll just make it even more fun.
I wouldn't necessarily give it an 8.6 like IGN did. But I would definitely give it a solid 8.0 to 8.3, which ain't bad. 7.9 for the single player and about an 8.8 for the online multi (not an average!).
I've finished this game's single player and I have yet to go back and complete Killzone2 (I'd rank it at an 8.8/8.9) and it's been about 3 months.

My fellow American... would you then say this is a must buy or not? I have been waiting to hopefully get a rent from this one on gamefly before buying, but I may just go and buy it if it is truly as good as you say.
I was thinking about buying this game but the online seems to be the only good thing about it and I don't like to buy a game just for online so I don't think this is a must buy for anyone unless they are desperate for a online FPS on Wii.
