Fourth Resi movie next year

Milla Jovovich says number four starts shooting at the end of the year
Zombies are not just in at the moment, they're the new white. And it looks like there's a another Resident Evil movie in the pipeline, as actress Milla Jovovich says number four starts shooting at the end of the year.

ShockTillYouDrop has a few details to boot: "Late last year, Paul W.S. Anderson revealed he was indeed writing another film. Capcom was getting involved. Everyone, as he said, was 'excited.' Well, we've just learned from a studio insider that Sony is looking to get Resident Evil: Afterlife into theaters by September 17, 2010. That's according to an internal memo circulating through the offices there.

"Will Anderson direct? Unsure. Will Milla Jovovich be back? I think it would be safe to say yes considering the last entry ended on - SPOILER ALERT - Alice clones getting ready to seek revenge on the Umbrella Corporation which was holed up in Tokyo."

Watch her get hounded by the paparazzi below. She reveals 'number four' towards the end of the movie.

Theyve gone the same route as Fast and furious, why do all desperate movie sequels end up in Japan :S

you guys realise nobody is forcing you to watch this.. or indeed anything else
dremorack on 3 Jul '09
I would like them to focus more on some of the original characters from the Game. Wesker especially.

argh it burns...it burns

The last 2 made me cut my willie off, poke my eyes out with it and stuff my balls in my ears. So I don't hold out much hope for this one.

Yes you are right and we don't have to watch it but I love the franchise and can't help watching.

Oops I think I just threw up a little in my mouth and swallowed it again. This woman is like steven segal with t**s (small but t**s all the same) always playing super women. Scrap the movie is the best idea. Surprised that airhead from transformers didnt take the role Laughing even if the talent levels are pretty much the same.

I quite enjoy the resident evil films. Guess im on my own haha
runadumb on 3 Jul '09
no doubt itl be s**te like the rest of em, someone needs to make a real resident evil film, not just some different story with some resi stuff in with the resident evil name slapped on it
Miss_Wacy on 3 Jul '09
The films are going to be difficult from the start, everyone will have a different opinion on what a resi film should be like, the star etc etc so I'd just like to say that the films have been okay without being spectacular IMO.

So I'll be looking forward to Resi 4. With any luck they'll ramp up the action with this one.

Now Sir, leave Megan Fox out of this...airhead she may be, but who cares when she looks that good.

And as to the state of Milla's chest, how is that at all relevant? Have a care.
jazzy_p on 3 Jul '09
How is it difficult? there shouldnt be more than 1 opinion on how the films should be...simple...exactly like the games!
T12AV15 on 3 Jul '09
i liked the resident evil films, god i even liked apocalypse, that film being my favourite of the three!
can't wait for this, even though it will probably be crap
The Sandbag on 3 Jul '09
if the films were exactly like the games they'd be boring, everyone would run out of ammo within the first 5 minutes and just stand around while zombies bite them - which wouldn't be a problem because a medkit would just patch things up.
i like the resi movies but absolutely can not stand the games.
BOYD1981 on 3 Jul '09
Oh. Yayyyyyy.

Confused
Marlonjb on 3 Jul '09
rotten tomatoes rates them:

34%
21%
22%

these movies are made for the intellectually challenged, die hard fans of the game, retarded chimps -watched the first and that was bad enough.

ha-ha quality, they are generally rubbish and thin, but hey they are a guilty pleasure hee-hee..
never have been able to get rid of my fondness for cheesey, cheap movies. roll on millas baby
ewko117 on 4 Jul '09
Yawnarama!!! Laughing
YouGuysRock7 on 4 Jul '09
@Tobal
Hmm, so im a retarded chimp am i? just because i enjoyed the films that somehow makes me stupid?. okay....
and your opinion matters why?.

I for one am excited that there will be a 4th movie and with the likes of ME2, Alan Wake, GoW3 and now Resi 4 movie due out in 2010 that year will most defiantely be a great year.

Roll on 2010 i say.
ukdruid on 4 Jul '09
Resident evil degeneration was better than all the live action films put together.

And it actually had its base in the games on which it is derived from & features some of the characters from said games.

Capcom should stick to making CGI resi movies IMO
