Suda 51 wants in on Smash Bros

No More Heroes dev wants Travis Touchdown in next Ninty brawler
Goichi 'Suda 51' Suda has said he'd like Nintendo to put No More Heroes lead character Travis Touchdown in the new Smash Bros. game. The mentalist.

Suda is, according to his statements in a Nintendo Power interview, very fond of Touchdown, the assassin character he created for the brutal Wii game. Talk about blowing your own trumpet.

"I love him and I want him to be a huge star," he told the magazine. "That's why I'm working very hard to make this game (No More Heroes 2) as interesting as possible. Maybe in the future, we can see him fighting alongside Link in the next Smash Bros. That would be great," he added.

We're not sure how well he'll fit in beside the Nintendo gang, but then Kojima got Solid Snake in SSB. Brawl, which made no sense either, but was pretty cool.

Personally, we want Birdo in there.

Not worthy.

Blasphemy.

I've just ordered No More Heroes after holding out for no reason for so long.

We'll see how that goes.

The character Travis is pretty cool though, I'd like to see him in Smash Bros. DLC though!

Hah, not a chance.

Keep the NMh series on Nintendo consoles and you might just get your wish.
YCshinobi on 9 Jul '09
Travis is such a c0ck, but you cannot help but love the dude Smile
kimoak on 9 Jul '09
You're taking him away from the Wii and you want him on the next SSB? Neutral
palancas7 on 9 Jul '09
As others have indicated, it takes some gall to say this not a week after saying the franchise is going to jump ship.

Keep the NMh series on Nintendo consoles and you might just get your wish.

Pretty much this.

Sonic worked in the game, he had the history and fact is he has more games on Nintendo platforms than any other.

Snake was pushing it.

I'd rather see someone who actually fits into the game like Megaman or Bomberman, not some half assed lame character like f***ing Travis
JuiKuen on 9 Jul '09
So let me get this straight Mr Suda is taking Travis away from the Wii fans yet he has the audacity to want his character included in one of the biggest Nintendo franchises out there. The charlatan.

I can just see it now, you're in a hard fought battle, and all of a sudden, your beam katana runs out of juice, and you have to charge it up.

Making you a sitting duck....
milky_joe on 10 Jul '09
Nothing more than insult to Nintendo after claiming to hop onto other consoles.
That aside, he's not exactly a well-established character like all the other SSB characters, so I don't think he'd fit in.
