"An Xbox Live technical issue wiped all Halo Wars Xbox Live Leaderboards earlier today," Microsoft has confirmed.
A statement explains: "This includes all singleplayer, multiplayer and Trueskill leaderboards, as well as all matchmaking data. At this time it's unknown if the data can be restored, resulting in the Halo Wars Leaderboards being reset to original Launch Day status."
The team is said to be investigating the cause, and will provide an update "as soon as possible."

"We at Robot Entertainment apologize for the Live technical issue and any frustration players have experienced in having their statistics disappear from the Leaderboards."
Now that's a bad start to the day right there. But can you imagine the panic a Halo 3 wipe out would cause. Sends a shiver down the spine...
If you actually read my comment you would see i never mentioned anything about leaderboards or such things.
I was merely commenting on losing your rank which people put so much time into gaining, when Bugnie couldnt even bother their bottom making a decent game which was plagued with simplistic design, boring characters, average graphics and tedious gameplay.
So joke on me and CVG? I guess some people cant read and digest very well, i bet you read the News of the World? that or pop up books lol.
Well it can only be a blessing that you don't like Halo 3. There's enough prepubescent kids that scream down their mics without you.
In regards to the leaderboards, you didn't mention that there weren't any. Trolls don't get the benefit of the doubt. So it shows how much you know about Bungie games. You came to troll on Halo, you failed, then you tried in vain to make it look like you've actually played the game... you're failing so badly, give it up.

hmmm Level 42 Team Slayer and level 36 Slayer i guess i anit played it that much to have an opinion on it. And might i mention i only played briefly on the double Xp weekend sessions.
Not to mention i owned both halo games on xbox and followed the orginal PC version in the late 90's till it got converted to the xbox and my grumble about halo3 is that nowhere near enough time and effort was put in to it than was put into halo 2's MP which was unreal and unheard of for a Console game at the time, while halo 3 is merely a gimmick and half ar$ed attempt merely reeling of a brand name. So dont try and talk sh!t to me "Child".
Back on topic: Whether it be score boards or statistics, I imagine I would be quite gutted and outright disgusted if in the blink of an eye all the time and effort put in to a game was wiped out. While it would be a boon to some whom may have aspirations to rise to the top of the score board (and a fresh start would save them from having to catch-up), personally it would be the sort of thing that could see me decrease my playing time, or even stop it outright, in regards to a ranked online game.
Maybe this will give some gamers some kind of perspective when it comes to their hobby. Getting a high rank may be a lot of effort, but when you really think about it....what's the point?

Someone who agrees lol and jerry jerry indeed. But i must confess ive put alot of time into COD4 simply because its the only MP game that has grabbed my intrest since the BETA.

Indeed; asides from the entertainment and stress release value (although in some cases it seems certain games only aggrevate stress levels *cough cough Dead Rising cough cough*,) of games they don't offer much in the way of tangible productivity. Thankfully we are not forced to live such spartan lives that everything must focus exclusively on whether it's "useful" in the industrious sense or not.
