Atari and Cryptic Studios have confirmed that Champions Online has gone gold and is now in an open beta phase. So if you didn't get into the closed beta with our help, you should now be able walk straight in.

CO is based on the Champions pen-and-paper RPGs and is powered by the Cryptic Engine. The game is due to be released on PC next month.

Mmmmm, I've been part of the Closed Beta for a while ( thanks CVG Very Happy ) and am wondering is my key still valid for access? I can't seem to login to the server this morning. Also crappy Amazon have not sent me my Open Beta key that I was promised when I preordered with them.

The game though, BRILLIANT! Loved everything about it since I first logged in. In fact, I have oredered a six month sub already. If you like MMO's you should check this out!

Having had a think about the beta key situation I mentioned. The key is used to access a downlaod for the game client right? Well I already have the cleient from playing in the closed beta so I see no reason why it shouldn't work for the open beta. Also i checked the kick off time. It's 6pm tonight. Thats why I couldn't log in this morning. Smile Smiles Smile
