One announcement (we) seemingly missed from Sony's TGS blowout this morning was the news that Home is headed to PSP.
The handheld version of Sony's virtual world will let users create blogs, photo albums, and other social networking features such as chat rooms, mini-games, and "real-time communication", Sony revealed in Tokyo.
UPDATE: Joystiq offers more details: The service is called PlayStation Room and players will be able to create their own anime-style avatars and mingle with other PSP users. It'll be released via a firmware update this winter - see the first shots below.

Thanks Sony, thats just what we've all been asking for. Their really isn't anything CROSS GAME PARTY CHAT YOU FREAKIN IDIOTS! else they should be paying for right now. The PSP has been crying out for home, WHAT! and is the one place Sony should be concentrating its efforts this Christmas. PS3 DAMN YOU!
What do you mean shouting and foaming at the mouth, i'm fine, GRRRRR, 'let me come with you, I can see, I can see perfectly'....
I havent even been on home for about 3 months at least! I'm pretty sure thats the same for a lot of people, I dont get why Sony are throwing money on HOME... and this HOME for PSP, put it to some good use please SONY
All these comments are interesting. I understand if PS Home isn't for everybody, but the truth is it has millions of users, some use it daily, others pop in and out from time to time when there's special events on. There's clearly a lot of money to be made with it - so it's worthwhile to keep it going.
I personally started, stuck with and completed Xi in PS Home. That ran for quite some time and the ritual of "completing today's puzzle" was rather enjoyable. The only let down was the way it all ended - in that there was no tangible reward. Should Sony opt to do something along similar lines again, I'd hope a game or trophies are offered as incentives. It can all be subsidized by advertising these days...
I had no interest in it after I tried it on the PS3, I will have no interest with it on the PSP. Waste of useful memory card space and developers money in my opinion.
I can see why they are doing it, to subsidise the fact that PSN is free, by charging for stupid items to decorate the users homes with. If I want to buy furniture or household items, I shall go to my local Homebase or Focus. Christ, even IKEA has more appeal than PS Home.
