Very early video footage of a supposed new Road Rash game has appeared on the internet. Here it is.
The awesome-looking video shows concept gameplay (i.e. what the game might look like) featuring bikers wrestling each other at high speed, swinging baseball bats and generally instilling all kinds of 16-bit nostalgia.
It looks wicked and is supposedly the work of EA Warrington. According to chatter though, it may have been canned, which would be a shame.
Oh yes they were the days lol I had on Road Rash the Panasonic 3DO what a machine that was every one talks about how good the dreamcast was/is but the 3DO was another truely awsome machine. I'm not quite sure why E.A would want to can this, the brand name would sell its self... surely? at least bring the original to XBLA/PSN

When I think of Road Rash thats the version I think of. Had some of the highest production values of any game. Was playing through it again earlier in the year on my psp until I got to a point were it kept crashing. Its still a fun game and I would love a new one done with the same care and style.
Isn't this the same homemade footage that was shown years ago?
We need another Road Rash badly!!! Give it to Criterion Games to develop.
i agree criterion would do an awesome job of this! although they already did that bike dlc for burnout paradise so maybe it'll be similar to this in a sequel?
I'm avoiding all EA games due to the really bad support for online play,8 month's to get skate 2 online and battle field online only game was a waste of cash coz i still not getting it to work.Shame though coz road rash was wicked.
Road Rash was a fantastic game(on the Megadrive). Its shame Ea never continued with the franchise. Just like the Strike series of games, this could do very well with an overhaul.
Can't see why it would get canned...if ever a game was made for online play this is it.
Agreed they should drop the old Megadrive version onto PSN / Live but EA seem to avoid doing greatest hits collections etc so don't hold your breath waiting for it.
Looks pretty good, I'd love to play that. Pulling the rider off the bike, and then using the signposts to t**t other racers over the head with was classic.
