Microsoft's finally dated Xbox 360's Facebook and Twitter features, which will launch on Xbox Live on November 17, says Xbox.com. Last.FM, strangely, is not mentioned.
A public beta for the social network features - which will see invites sent out to various members of the Xbox community - has already been confirmed for the "middle-towards-end of October."

Now what about implementing some features for the gamers of clans. IE: Being able to put your =TAGS= onto your gamertag, without having to redo your gamertag, at 800 M$ points.
Me, my girlfriend, some of my friends. I'd say about half my friends list is really excited about it. Hope that answers your question. Plus they added in this neat new feature called 'you don't have to use it if you don't want to', its so swell.
Funny, I don't get why people hate additional features, don't want it? Don't use it. Some of us like extra ways to keep in touch, why should my wants be ignored so they can focus on yours. A console shouldn't have to cut its casual side off to please the hardcore. There are those of us who dwell on both sides and really rather enjoy it.
id sooner them make decent messenger on the xbox because this 1 atm is absolute **** it lags ur xbox out soooo much and plus ya cant change ya name or anything it really is rubbish n wtf last.fm wts wrong with radio 1 or something and ffs when is sky coming out for xbox !!!!!

That doesn't have full facebook and Twitter support. In Facebook you can't message friens or add and delete them, same in twitter and they six times out of ten crash the awful browser.
I'm using my PS3 to type this, calling it a fully fuctioning browser is a joke. Stop comparing badly it shows how jealous you're getting. I own both because i'm not a poor street urchin and X360 is better, if you don't own both your opinion is pointless.

The term "fully-functional" is a bit debatable when you can't even log in to hotmail (one of the most widely used web-based mail account providers) and have to resort to mobile.live.com

Good analysis of a radio station that covers pretty much every modern genre whilst still aiming to appeal to the masses.
I think they do a good job, personally. My 1 hour each way commute would be a hell of a lot worse without it.
thanks i try my best. And it covers jack s**t, most air time seems to be taken up by the djs babling on about what they had for breakfast. Its all middle of the road crap.
Radio 1 is turd. And Sony are hardly gonna let you use Hotmail on their browser with it being a M$ product and all, even if it is very petty of them to do so..

Well you can still use the mobile site. And if they've done it on purpose then it is very petty considering you can run Windows on Macs, the 360 supports iPods and Windows even recognises PS3 controllers when you plug them in via the USB slot.
The Facebook formatting doesn't even work correctly on the PS3 browser.
I realy think MS & Sony have lost there way when it comes to consoles, there all adding cr*p no one realy wants ,lets face it, just a games console for the use of, I remember the good old days when a console just played games and that was it.

Not being funny but where would devolution stop? Shall we scrub the ability to play your own music in-game? You couldn't ever play DVDs on your games console back in the day either, so let's do away with that as well...

People in glasshouses shouldn't throw stones mate. Last time i checked Sony are trying to advertise the ps3 as the answer to everything, and whats Home if it isn't an avatar based socialising tool. You have a go at facebook support when your console of choice has a 2nd life clone on it. Don't make me laugh.
And if Forza3 and ODST aren't exactly week offerings. Sony seem to have put all thier weight behind Eye pet and Uncharted2. they're all fab games but its not like the PS3 has been bursting at the seams with exclusives so far.

I must have missed something, when exactly did he say he had a ps3 before you started your tirade in defence of Microsoft? Im pretty sure they don't need help fighting their battles so no need to be so defensive anyway.
Anyways back to the topic, great for those that use such services, to be honest i only thought they were for kids/students/and those that arent able to get out much such as disabled and single mums etc. I must just miss the point and the appeal of having all my details out there for everyone to see. Still the more these consoles can do in the future the less kit we will all have to buy so i hardly see it as a bad thing.
