I don't want to see any of this game until it is released. I want as many surprises as possible on this one. I am also interested in the multiplayer in this.
It seems (at least from this trailer) that a lot of the 40s/50s horror feel has disappeared entirely.
It was all pew pew pew, I felt like I was watching a trailer for Aliens or something. I'm not basing my final opinion on this trailer alone, god knows enough products have been given an unfair chance due to badly made trailers, but I hope this has more atmosphere and its not a complete machine gun fest from start to finish.
There doesn't seem to be much variation in the environments in this one. It all looks a bit gold and grey. Hopefully because it is just showcasing one level.
it is a TRAILER. they are supposed to show the most action heavy bits of the game in them. how can you tell if the 40/50's vibe has gone? they said they have a sweet soundtrack full of 50/60's music. and no, you aren't the only ones who are disappointed, loads of the euroGAYmer lot are too. i for one am extremely excited about this, i have full trust that they will put out a game just as good as the first. it's going to be fantastic.

yes, it's the trailer for the ONE level, Siren Alley.

I can't tell, which is why I used the word "seemed" which is pretty open to suggestion.
I didn't actually say in my post that I was dissappointed either. I did say that I wasn't basing my opinion on this one trailer however. I'm hoping its going to be awesome, don't get me wrong, I was a hardcore fan of the first game. I'm just a bit reserved until I have the final product in my hands. I'm not sure how strong the story will be, I'm a bit nervous that a new team are dealing with the game (albeit with some members from the previous team), and I'm also a bit apprehensive that a completely different team are responsible for the multiplayer element. The team who made Dark Sector no less, which was balls.
If it reviews well, I'll buy it day one, no question.
Love the way you see the sides of your helmet when you get knocked about a bit and then how it fades away to a normal first person view. And was that a spike gun that pinned that guy against the wall?
