LocoRoco Midnight Carnival this week

New LocoRoco roll-off in the next PSN update
The next LocoRoco game, LocoRoco Midnight Carnival, will be out on the US PSN this Thursday, SCEA has confirmed.

Along with new levels and awesome music, one of the game's biggest new features is the new multiplayer mode. As SCEA producer Tsubasa Inaba explains:

"For the first time in Loco history, you can now race friends through levels! Via Ad Hoc, connect with up to four players and see who can get to the end first. Each player controls their own tilt and bounce action, but you can see their position on your screen so you know when you are neck and neck."

Above is a video of that in action. Hopefully we'll get Midnight Carnival in UK this week too, although the list of update content is yet to be confirmed.

Just PSP at the moment.

Have a little interest in this, but I didn't get LocoRoco 2, so it can wait.

Don't get why people bash the PSN pricing. Thing is that if you have a family with say 3 PSPs, you can use the same PSN account (a master account) on all the PSPs and get the game 3 times for the price of 1. So a £20 game on PSN becomes a lot cheaper compared to buying the game on UMD multiple times. Apart from shopping online the pricing for 1st party games isn't too bad (about £21.99).

Why aren't the locorocos singing in this?

They sing when you put the right accessories on them apparently.

It's been confirmed for this week on the EU Store now (£11.99 / 14.99 Euros). More info on the PS Blog here:
