A potential Xbox 360 and PS3 port of Wii exclusive Epic Mickey is "a decision that other people in the Disney organisation are going to make," Warren Spector has told CVG.
Speaking to us in London last night, Spector said: "Right now we're a Wii game and I'm happy to be able to focus.
"It's interesting - it's kind of fun to be able to focus on gameplay and not have to worry about modern shader stuff," he said.
"That's got its place but you know what? If I never make another game that's trying to be the hyper-realistic, look like everybody else in the world... I'm OK with that. I don't need to do that anymore.
"I'm really enjoying working on a platform where gameplay is 'it'," he added.
Epic Mickey - which is looking very promising indeed - originally started life as a PC, 360 and PS3 game, Spector revealed yesterday, before switching platforms to Wii.
I had a similar feeling, it's like the game mechanics of Okami mixed with the nightmare dreamscapes of Psychonauts, which actually sounds pretty good. Also enjoying the fact that the game will be bringing back many of the early Disney characters, even Oswald the rabbit, who's essentially the proto-Mickey.
which is why the wii is such a great fit. The wii version of Okami is definately the superior one.
Dam that game rocked like a mother f**ker.
Really? From what I read on the net a LOT of people had troubles with controlling the brush on the Wii (even some reviewers, preferring the PS2 joysticks). Even I (new to consoles at that time) didn't have many problems with the PS2 controller to my surprise.
