Not surprised to be honest. I try and buy all my games through Game if possible. Good points system and brilliant distribution always received on time.
I have to say though Valve could have won if Developers decided not to overprice games on Steam but I guess the reasoning behind this is to stop the retailers going up in arms about digital distribution.
They are good with delivery, their reward points are useful and they offer good cash back on cash back websites (though not as good as they used to). However I typically find that Play and Amazon are usually cheaper - and just as reliable for delivery.
very surprised at GAME "winning" this category. Overpriced, wouldn't know good customer service if it slapped them & product knowledge on a par with your average meerkat - and oddly enough most of their staff are the meerkat's favourite word, SIMPLES!
Game are overpriced, their stores are depressing and their points system worthless. I know - I used to work for them. But only when their stores were worth visiting..
The whole meaningless Jostiq awards are bo**ocks anyway. And what a waste of a day that has been for CVG with articles just for this crap..
Koodles, you're an idiot. When I worked in a Game store, all the staff were extremely helpful and interested in the games they were selling. As a customer, I went into one yesterday and the girl who served me was really friendly and keen to help. Like every store, I'm sure there are a few duds around, but the vast majority are a credit to the chain. Anyone who has to deal with sarcastic college kids and rude parents around Christmas on the basic pay they get deserves nothing but praise.
Deserving of the win, although I also rate Play very highly. Amazon not so great.
I like GAME, I use them quite a lot. But online pre-orders, I'd say either Play or Amazon lead the way. Amazon usually have a lot of good cheap deals, but Play have a good delivery service and you usually get the game the day before it's released as well. HMV are also worth mentioning.
