Ubi: "No comment" on Prince of Persia 2010 reveal

New game coming next year claims movie team, Ubi saying nothing
Ubisoft has failed to deny that a new Prince of Persia game will be revealed early next year, as recently claimed by the team behind the upcoming movie adaptation.

Speaking during a trailer preview event at Bruckheimer Studios (via Neoseeker), the movie team claimed that Ubisoft will be announcing a new Prince of Persia game in spring 2010, "but it's not their place to give out any details".

So we asked a Ubisoft rep if the team's claims were true, to which we were issued a swift "no comment".

The movie is due out in North America on May 28, so the supposed new game announcement would happen very shortly - or around - then.

We quizzed Ubisoft Monteal president, Yannis Mallat on his plans for the launch of the film last month, and he told us: "I can't comment actually, at the moment (laughs)."

Well I think I'm one of the only people who enjoyed the recent one. Huzzah! A new one in the same vein would go down well...

I'm happy! Smile

I hope its more like the earlier ones on the ps2 the one last year was crap removing the rewind time feature was a big mistake also the prince sounding like nathan drake was also not good.

Your not the only one Justy, i really liked the new POP game too. It was beautiful to look at and the game play was incredibly fluid.

I wondered where that movie had got to...didn't they finish filming over a year and a half ago. Lots of post obviously

Stop f**king raping this series you money grabbing whores. The last one was a disgusting piece of ass that literally played itself. It was truly terrible.

This is not open to subjective debate. It's terrible in philosophy and execution.

"Ubisoft Monteal president, Timmy Mallat"

I'm a little divided. I liked Sands of Time, then when the Prince went all emo for Warrior Within and the third game (the title is lost on me), I wasn't fond. I liked the latest one, though, so I suppose it depends on which style of Price they go for.

The last game was truly beautifull.
But the game mechanics was unbelievably stoooopid.
Open world... I beg to differ..
Junp here, press this, grab that press that, jump here, press something else, oops I died, oh well, Erika grabbed me, So why bother...
I hate QTE even when disguised as platforming on rails.

Why deny something that is so obviously gona happen Razz
Loved the last game even if the mechanics and story was a pain in the bottom, it looked and felt awesome!!

Note: keep an eye out for Nolan North's twitter, its known that voice actors give things away haha Cool
