The new Sony handheld went on sale in the country yesterday, a month after launching in Europe and the US.
According to Media Create, PSP sold 32,865 units during the week ended October 25. PSPgo's first day sales are encouraging then, although Andriasang points out that Nintendo's DSi sold 170,000 units in the two days following its launch last November, while PSP-3000 managed over 140,000 sales in four days when it released in October 2009.
Japanese PSP sales stood at 12,797,180 units as of October 25, 2009.
Does the world care? No. Doesn't matter what anyone on the net says either, look at ps3, that's still going strong and it's been getting panned by 28 year olds who're in their underwear in their parents basement playing wii child molest!
as well as bored office workers, schoolboys during IT classes.
Hows that for solidarity.
The ps3 is a fine machine, it's just not the second coming that sony fanboys proclaim it to be and if you already own a 360 the benefits aren't that great.
Then again the same could be said if you already own a PS3 and are thinking of getting a 360. There just isn't much in it.
Back to the article.. They did manage to forget one incredibly important fact about the dsi's 170,000 sales in 2 days though. and thats that it coincided with the release of Dragon Quest IX, a ds exclusive and the biggest selling series ever in japan.
