This website is not here as a personal editorial for you, by your own hand you've stated that it appeals to 80% of gamers, should this not warrant reporting on it?
The world is not centred around you, it is centred around the sun, which is all warm and lovely in the cool crisp autumnal air today.
If it appeals to anything more than say 10 percent of gamers, then I think it's worth covering.
10 percent is a s**t lot of people, don't forget!
Now, what you should have said, is you think there's perhaps too many articles concerning COD, articles that aren't of much importance.
If I wasn't a massive COD4 fan myself, I know I'd probably be going slightly mental, although I'd expect it. I guess if there's no other news to cover, then why not? It creates hype, surely it's good to be excited?
