Final Fantasy XIII comes with XIV beta

Final Fantasy XIII in Japan is set to include access to the Final Fantasy XIV Online beta, Japanese mag Shonen Jump has revealed.

The mag - scanned here - doesn't mention which platform the beta access will be for, but it's either PC or PS3. Obviously.

There's also no word on whether or not this'll make it to Europe yet, but we're on the case.

Final Fantasy XIII is out on December 17 in Japan. A Western release date is expected soon.

At the risk of exposing my ignorance: do US PS3 games work in Europe? I was always rather uncertain about this.

Anyway, hope the FFXIV beta will come bundled with the European version (if I end up not getting the American one.) It'd certainly be a smart move on SE's part.

I WANT FFXIII AND FFXIV!

PS3 games are region free, btw. The only catch is that you can't play them in SD if they are imported unless you buy an NTSC/PAL converter.
