Microsoft's spilled details on the next season of Xbox Live game show, 1 vs 100.
The second season will run for 14 weeks from November 19, it says, and will feature such stimulating quiz topics as "Finish the Lyrics", "80s" and "Vampires".
For the first time Microsoft's also explained how Xbox Live participants go about becoming 'The One'.
Apparently the main contestant is chosen by score, specifically the totals collated across the season, the week and that particularly round.
Microsoft has previously remained quiet on the exact methods to becoming The One. Now we know.
The rest of the time was usually just me and a few friends in a party answering (or getting wrong) as many questions as we could to see who got the best score.
Also, when this was available my Mrs was actually asking me to turn the 360 on so we could have a Game together (she never does this for Halo, Gears, L4D etc)!
For this to breakthrough, MS need to advertise it, much in the same way that they advertise the new Sky app. If done properly, this could be huge for the causal / family Gamer (and me ).

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think even now it's still in beta. That's why there hasn't been any advertising of it so far.
Good point altitude, hadnt actually thought of that .
They did make a massive deal of it within the gaming community which gives you the impression it's a final code. It's only the little "beta" text when you start it up that give it away.
Let's hope they sorted out the problems that kept kicking people out of games 3/4 of the way through. I wouldn't have minded if it happened once, but when it happens nearly half the time it gets pretty tiring.
Other than that, it was great fun and I look forward to season 2!

No they haven't- it was in the rules on the website from before the game even launched, and they told you the selection process in those little videos between rounds they played a hundred million times.
The criteria was, alternating round by round, Skill Combination 1: Participation, then Speed Skill Combination 2: Speed, then Accuracy Skill Combination 3: Accuracy, then Speed
In fact, the old rules are still there: http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/live/1vs100/game_rules.htm
Sorry to sound condecending, but it's hardly been shrouded in mystery.
