As well as Kane & Lynch and Hitman 5, IO Interactive is busy constructing a unique, multiplatform title said to be "unlike anything else", CVG has learned.
The unnamed game - which has been in development for three years - is said to be a big departure for the Hitman studio, while still maintaining a focus on what it does best - violence.
"Imagine all the violence of Hitman and Kayne & Lynch but not scripted," our source said, making it sound like some sort of pub brawling simulator.
With both Kane & Lynch 2 and Hitman 5 out next year, it's going to be a busy time indeed for the Copenhagen studio.
Why oh why are they still bothering with Kane and Lynch? I hope it doesn't detract from the quality of Hitman 5. I'd much rather they just dumped it focused all their time on Hitman 5 .... and then start work on Freedom Fighters 2

Blood Money is a classic. Might not have the graphical punch of newer games but still oodles of fun. Very under-rated in my book.
Definitely. It might be hard to get into at the start if it's your first Hitman game but it's well worth the effort. I've got 1000/1000 gamerpoints on that and I still play it now.

The last Hitman I'd played was Hitman 2 (I think) on the original XBox. I found that I couldn't really get into it and found the controls a little fiddly. I've only ever heard good things about Blood Money though.

Buy it, it's well worth the money, especially now you can find it for under a tenner. The achievements (if you are buying the 360 version) really push you into working out the best way to do the levels. It's got a steep difficulty curve but once you get the hang of it, it's just brilliant. Some of the best gaming I've had this generation.
I really struggled with Blood Money, I couldn't get into it at all... Which I was gutted about, because everyone was saying how great it was, and I just couldn't get my head around what I was missing.

Thats how I felt about it. Tried to play it over weekend and just couldn't get into it. The controls felt awkward and I got tired of messing things up. Left it about a year and came back to it. Ended up loving it.
Regarding K & L, I think they're making a sequel for the same reasons as Dice (ME2): The first game had a biiig hype/attention prerelease but eventually dissapointed. (I loved ME though)
That big attention could turn K & L into a big series, if they get it right this time. If not it'll be even more harmfull to their image than the first one. A long term strategy then.
That said, I haven't plyed K & L, I labelled it crap when it was released, and I'm not too interested in this game whatsoever.

Blood Money was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. I'll still ocassionally go back to 'A New Life', the mission in the suburbs, just for a good ol Hitman styled laugh, which is usually dressing up as the clown and going on a rampage with the kitchen-knife.
I never found the games hard. Frustrating sometimes, especially with Hitman 2's unrelentingly suspicious AI. All you've gotta do is wrap your head around using the map and exploring the levels a bit. All the exclamation marks on the map are there for a reason and help you complete your missions silently.
Hitman 2 was a masterpiece, with the best videogame music ever, by Jesper Kyd. The A.I was shoddy, but if you're caught in a restricted area, it's likely you'll be shot at. I love it, still play it most days. Contracts was good, but relentlessly dark, and made the Hitman canon confusing to understand. Blood Money was OK, I guess, but the A.I was braindead simple, and the accident and newspaper systems weren't expanded enough upon. I hope Hitman 5 raises the difficulty level siignificantly. A demo would be ideal to judge from.
