Dante's Inferno demo dated

'Gates of Hell' demo coming fittingly in time for Christmas
Forget turkey, bad Christmas cracker jokes and pretending to like family members you never see. You can spend your Christmas day exploring the dark corners of hell if instead, as EA confirms a demo for Dante's Inferno on PS3 and 360 for release in December.

As EA explains: "The 'Gates of Hell' demo will introduce players to the game's hero, epic story and intense action gameplay, tracing Dante's battles from the surface all the way to the Gates of Hell.

"Players will experience fast-paced hack-n-slash combat as they fend off waves of enemies before taking on the ultimate battle against Death.

"After defeating this boss, Dante will be armed with Death's scythe, a powerful holy cross, and will be ready to tear open the Gates of Hell. The demo also features two stunning cinematic movies made by Blur, the award-winning visual effects, animation and design studio."

The full game hits shelves on February 12 over here (Feb 9 in US) for PS3, 360 and PSP.

Going to be a few Hack'n'Slashers early next year.

Bayonetta, Darksiders, Dantes Inferno & God of War 3, all within the first 3/4 months of next year.

I wonder who will be the losers and winners?

Darksiders is the weak link for me personally. All the rest are shaping up to must-buys from what I've seen.

It's a tough one - Darksiders does look good, but I assumed it was more of a sandbox title, which could make it a little limited in the gameplay stakes.

Bayonetta has the review from Famitsu working in its favour - but, I don't trust it one bit. It looks a little dull to me....just DMC in a different skin, albeit a very wacky one.

GoW3 will no doubt be brilliant, but I don't have a PS3, so I won't be playing that...which leaves Dantes Inferno and, I have to admit, I'm still not convinced - it looks as if it has decent character designs (has everyone seen their Cerberus?), but I worry that it's trying too hard to be GoW and not bringing an awful lot to the table.

I'll definitely need to wait on reviews for all of these titles.

Im not to sure to be honest, played the Bayonetta demo and though it was OK, i dont see the 40/40 it got from Famitsu.

I reckon Darksiders could be a dark horse (of the Apocolypse)!

The concept and advertising look awesome but all the ingame shots i've seen look like they belong on the PS2.
