Alan Wake out in May?

360 exclusive finally dated, claims report
The long awaited Xbox 360 action "thriller" Alan Wake will be released in May 2010.

That's according to a report by trade mag MCV, which claims that the Remedy-developed 360 exclusive will be promoted "in the style of a Hollywood movie".

Supposedly Microsoft is aiming for a global release late in the month, says the report, which will finally put an end to the game's epic five year development stretch.

According to Microsoft Alan Wake is due in "spring 2010".

Microsoft's official line is it doesn't comment on "rumour and speculation".

Next years summer blockbuster then. I think spreading out the release schedule is definately a good idea. there is always a gaming drout in the summer and this'll definatly help eleviate it.

Even though we have ME2, GoW3, Heavy Rain, Halo: Reach and SC Conviction, I already know this is my Game of the year 2010!

2010 could be my best year in Gaming in over 20 years of this enjoyable past time.

Bring it on!!!

I'm also happy about a May release date. Now it won't get lost within the explosion of other, more established, franchises.

Now if they could release Heavy Rain (although April would suit the title better!) in June/July, that would be perfect.

Smile

At least StonecoldMC can work out his holidays now.

Also, with it being in development for 5 years, I wonder if they will have included bikes, dynamic weather, damage and a track editor?

Hang on.....

I hope this turns out as good as it looks... and also that it isn't just another walk-shoot-walk-shoot game.

Looks amazing! This game will be very atmospheric indeed. I'm just glad there'll be a lot of great titles coming out before, so they wait is bearable! Very Happy

Ha ha! i do think it has dynamic days cycles, not sure about weather but you never know!

this does look good though, it does go to show that titles developed for the 360 can look really good.
