Natal details coming in Feb

Microsoft confirms showing at Gamefest
More details on next year's big Xbox launch, Project Natal, will be revealed at Microsoft's annual Seattle Gamefest event on February 10, 2010, it's confirmed.

The event, which is targeted more to games industry professionals than your mate Dave at Gamestation, will divulge more info on how developers can approach working with the 360 motion cam.

The event will give advice on "gesture recognition, avatar retargeting, speech recognition, advanced raw stream processing, handling different player environments, and many other topics," according to Gamefest's website.

There will also be a Natal design track that will focus on "creating new ways to work, building showcase experiences, divining user intent, and designing gestures for UI versus game interactions," it says.

We wouldn't exactly put money on seeing new games at the February event, but it should be an interesting month none the less.

Wave your hands in the air like you just don't care!

*Waves hands*

.....Which in essence could be deemed as practice for when Natal gets released.....

You have entered the Twilight Zone.

Confused

Hopefully they'll announce something special, like it doing something other than what PS3 Eye can already do, as I can't see a game being made entirely out of Milo.

I still think controls of some sort are needed and time well tell if MS agree (I foresee the announement of many wireless devices and if so, then Natal has been overhyped beyond recognition.)

Agreed. We may get some leaked vids from this event, as it sounds as if they'll keep the good stuff behind closed doors. I'm hoping for some concrete pricing details also.

oh yeah another thing regarding another post when you said that i was reflecting back at myself by saying the ps3 is full of paedophiles well you can f**k off about that, my lil sister was contatced by a 37 year old man pretending to be a 13 year old boy and arraneged to meet luckily for her she ran away from him, you might have reada bout it in the scottish sun, when it used the headline " paedostation user targets young girl" and no i wud not want to buy one i traded in my brand new unopened ps3 slim i got for my 19th birthday as gaming without a purpose on ps3 is pointless as there is no achievement system just crappy trophys
