We asked Nintendo UK is the legendary original would also be coming to UK Wii gamers this weeks, to which it replied: "We'll confirm alongside any official announcement if or when we decide to launch."
We're not quite sure what exactly that response means, but it's definitely not the one we were hoping for. Like we said, don't hold your breath.
Typical really, the PAL region always gets the short end of the stick in pretty much everything to do with games, one of the reasons that it's high time all consoles should be region free, like the PSP and PS3.
Well we've had Zelda Majoras Mask, Smash Bros 64, and PilotWings months before the US, so I think its a fair trade, just cod SMK won't be out this week, doesn't mean its far off.
i don't think they are deliberately stuffing us, i'm pretty sure all these decisions aren't made from the top. Every region director probably gets to choose a list for that region( although probably does ultimately have to go to the top for approval). The European/pal region director probably hasn't decided to unleash this game yet.
all i'm saying is that i doubt it's a conspiracy against PAL regions, more likely that the North American director has more clout when making requests
Ah, if that's true then it will be a shame. I'm really looking forward to having Super Mario Kart on my Wii and I've been very patient with waiting for it. I guess I've got Super Mario Galaxy still to polish off and New Super Mario Bros to keep me going (all Mario!).
Having said that, Nintendo UK did give me good news for moving my VC and WiiWare games from my white Wii to my potential black Wii
Don't buy Nintendo stuff anymore and probably never will again. I appreciate their contribution to gaming over the years, but they've always screwed Europe over and their systems just aren't as solid as the PC platform and their games don't look as good as PS3/360 stuff.
Perhaps if Nintendo throw out a new Zelda, or Mario I might get it in the sale, but I think I've just come to a point where the content of their games is too shallow.
