Blur trailer looking better

Bizarre racer now due next year
Bizarre Creations has released a new Blur video, further showing of the tweaks and improvements its new 2010 release date has accommodated the racer.

One change, as we mentioned before, is in the direction of the mines power-up, which used to scatter WipEout-style explosives on the track but has now been replaced with a massive, menacing black hole... thing. Which is more fun, right?

For more check out our Blur hands-on preview, as well as our Blur interview with lead designer Ged Talbot.

Actually that trailer was quite good even though it's not gameplay.

I'd probably need a demo to be utterly convinced, but I a hell of a lot more intrigued by this than I was when the first info leaked.

I've got a bad feeling that this game is just going to fall between the cracks and not go anywhere (even if it is good). With Project Gotham Racing they had a high profile franchise. With this game they are working from the ground up. I hope it works out for them as Bizzare are a great developer.

Sorta like "The Club".

Personally I think this is gonna live or die by how much fun its multiplayer and online play is. The developers mentioned Mario Kart in interviews... if they can make it as fun online as MK, with all of Live and PSN's features on top, it'll be awesome. Looking forward to it.

Same here. Out of all the games that got delayed till next year, I personally felt this title needed the extra time the most.

problem is, mario kart is 'fun' and suits weapons based racing.

so does the futuristic, anti-grav wipeout.

serious, brand name production sports cars... firing missiles, bombs and bolts of lightning at each other? that doesnt.

wish i could look forward to this, but im not.

shame as PGR is the best racer on 360.

I have to agree with SVD on this one as I feel that the devs just made a poor design choice.

I hope I am wrong, but I'm just not getting good vibes from the game.

I get your point actually... using real cars does seem like an odd choice for unrealistic weapons-based racing. Seems like they wanted the best of both worlds and could end up with neither.

Still, I hope the game turns out well. I used to enjoy MK on the Wii and I really don't fancy Forza, or PGR.

You, sir, are a madman.

Well each to their own eh. I've played the Forza 3 demo and PGR3, they both seemed limp next to Gran Turismo so I can't be bothered with em.

Forza 3 is very good, and pgr4 has to be the best driving game ever. I am really hoping this turns out to be a good game. I like the concept of a racing game v mario kart, so hope it's turns out well. I believe I read that a demo would be released for Blur so we can try it out.

The jury is still out on this one...I just have this sinking feeling that Bizarre Creations have been 'told' what to create since their takeover by the mighty Activision. I could be wrong...
And Gran Turismo is the best racing game ever...Forza and PGR always get silver and bronze (in my opinion - so lets just leave it at that!)

When a 2 minute trailer makes the game look like a one trick pony that's not good. Either they thought that glowing orb effect was WAY cooler than I did or that's the only effect/weapon in the game.
