Madden 2003: exclusive footage of power!

The biggest and best American football franchise on the planet is about to tackle the competition out of existence
Since its first staggering appearance on the Mega Drive in the early nineties, Madden has become the name in American football games and has repeatedly set the standard for others to follow. People may complain that, year-on-year, advancements over previous versions haven't been substantial enough, but that - rightly or wrongly - is the nature of sports sims these days and regardless, Madden has consistently remained at the top of its field for a decade. Which is hardcore by anyone's standards.

New features for 2003 include a Cruiser Tour Bus mode where you travel to all the NFL cities in order to complete a range of tasks to unlock hidden goodies; improved animation and an overall quicker speed makes for the most accurate, rewarding simulation of the sport yet seen in the series; the play customisation mode has been streamlined to make it even more accessible; and Madden and Al Michaels return to the commentary box for more insight and witty banter.

Releasing this autumn on Xbox, PC, PS2 and GameCube, Madden is set to shine again. Witness the power and the glory in these exclusive movies from the PS2 version.
