Like darts, we reckon golf was invented to give lardy geriatrics the chance to be good at a sport. Well you don't exactly need to be svelte, trimmed and toned to play, do you?

So imagine the fatties' collective shriek of horror when a decidedly non-fat upstart going by the name of Tiger Woods starts playing and takes the game all for himself. This big cat can arguably claim the title of best golfer in the world, and now Tiger Woods has got a bunch of videogames to prove it.

KING OF THE SWINGERS
Swing like the pro himself in an accurate golf simulation that's great fun - for a while. The game uses the now-standard swingometer, which lets you adjust power, spin and distance, all with just three button presses.

The course graphics are realistic and the golfers almost look as if they've been lifted right out of video footage. The problem is that there's just one course, so regardless of the many different play modes and challenges, you'll learn how to take each hole really quickly, making the game a doddle to blast through.
