To win badges, players must complete a series of missions. Some of these tasks involve flying through hoops, shooting missiles at a tearaway robot, negotiating underground tunnels, bouncing balls across an island or taking photographs of an oil refinery. If you score more than 70% in a certain event you'll win a Bronze badge, while 80% will net you the Silver. Winning Gold badges is your key to unlocking the awesome bonus games. However, the best part of Pilotwings 64 is exploring the four islands. You'll not believe just how huge the islands really are and, because certain elements are hidden at first, it'll take you months to see everything.
