Kain has overslept by about 200 years, which can happen sometimes if you get a bit overtired. Waking up in a world much changed from the one he was nearly destroyed trying to conquer, he is recruited by a group of fellow vampires. Their task? To destroy the human vampire hunters, who go by name of the Sarafan. Okay, so there's loads of plot and overblown exposition but that's why fans love the Legacy Of Kain games so much. Plus, there's always a great adventure to back up the story.

KAIN AND ABLE
Blood Omen 2 is no exception, but it plays a lot clunkier than the sublime Soul Reaver 2. The biggest problem is that the camera remains fixed behind Kain at all times, making him feel a bit boat-like to control. Puzzles don't have the same ingenious sparkle of Raziel's games either. This is still top adult action though, and a great place to dip into the Legacy universe for the first time.
