Camp EA 2003: Return of the King returns with hairier toes...
Thursday 10-Jul-2003 4:56 PM In the final part of the trilogy, you must destroy the One Ring by chucking it into the crack of doom... Killing loads on the way One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them... Ooh err. Better get ready for some axe-swinging, nazgul-slaughtering, magic-casting action then, in EA's Return of the King, happily in time for the movie's Christmas release.
In this, the final instalment of Tolkien's epic, you get to defend the walls of Minas Tirith as Gandalf, raise the Army of the Dead with team play by Aragorn, Legolas and stumpy Gimli, and also as Frodo and Sam to deliver the ring to Mount Doom.
The Return of the King features all-new multiplayer co-op modes from the previous LOTR games to let you form your own Fellowship before embarking on the journey through Middle-Earth.
GBA Version
As a third-person action-adventure you get to dabble with various characters and new for the final instalment, check out the smashable environments, whilst switching strategies between melee and ranged combat. Then, of course, jump and swing from ropes, fire catapults - or just go off on a hack 'n' slash frenzy like before.
The Return of the King even features exclusive never-before-seen movie footage, and the battles everyone wants to see - from the Witch King to the Dark Lord Sauron himself.
Due for release towards the end of the year on all next-gen consoles, and as a hack 'em spectacular on the GBA, we're just off for a quick dabble at Camp EA - and we'll report back to you shortly.
