Conflict: Desert Storm 2 moves and shoots

Monday 21-Jul-2003 12:30 PM New footage and shots from Pivotal Games' third-person action sequel that sees the return of squad-based antics in the Gulf War
Conflict: Desert Storm 2, in development at Pivotal Games, is the imaginatively named follow-up to Conflict: Desert Storm, the surprise next-gen console hit that also manoeuvred its way onto PC. Like the original, the sequel is a third-person, squad-based action title that finds players immersed in Gulf War-focused shenanigans.

Gamers will be in control of a four-man Delta Force or SAS squad, attempting to complete missions and objectives and battling the Iraqi war machine.

Xbox and GameCube versions of the title will also feature four-player co-op, the PS2 version two-player co-op. Conflict: Desert Storm 2 is due on PC, PS2 and Xbox in September, the GameCube version to follow in November/December.
