Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Wudan-style

Developed by Genki, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is a martial arts fest that finds players battling in the Wudan style in 19th century China. Fist and kick fighting and swordplay make up the meat and potatoes of the combat, with lots of graceful twirls, flips and other choreography "inspired" by Woo-Ping Yuen's work on the film thrown in for good measure.

Players control the film's characters Li Mu Bai, Yu Shu Lien, Jen Yu and "Dark Cloud" Lo who, following the path of vengeance, are attempting to tack down and eliminate the evil Jade Fox. Conquering various challenges thrown up allows for improvement of characters' fighting skills, each character coming with their own unique combat moves.

And, as with most fighting games, special stages and a number of unlockable secrets (such as extra costumes) also feature.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is due for release next month.
