CVG sold to Dennis Publishing

Wednesday 15-Aug-2001 12:00 AM EMAP has confirmed the sale of CVG magazine, www.computerandvideogames.com, The Player and The Masters to Dennis Publishing
The dotted line has been signed. As of next Friday, CVG will be published by Dennis Publishing. Dennis is the company behind ladsi mag Maxim, as well as Official Dreamcast Magazine and PC Zone. No details have been released on how much has actually been paid for the set of magazines and sites. There will be no lay-offs as a result of the move.

We were told yesterday that the deal was definitely going ahead and as a result spent the day "consulting" with the bar up the road. Today will be spent being shown around Dennisi offices and sorting out just what the transfer means for us.There will be no update today, and weid really appreciate your patience over the next week as we transfer over to Dennisi central London offices.Weill be back to normal service soon.
