Deus Ex: Invisible War demo plans revealed, new movie

PC and Xbox demos of Invisible War coming in December, says Eidos. Warren Spector video interview and footage also inside
Gamers in the UK and Europe smarting over the two month gap between the release of Deus Ex: Invisible War in the US and on these shores are being given a soothing sticky plaster by Eidos in the shape of a demo.

Speaking to an Eidos representative earlier this week, we were informed of plans to release both a PC and Xbox demo of Ion Storm's first-person shooter-cum-RPG in December.

Obviously with the title due out on both formats in the US in the last month of the year, the appearance of a demo in December may be of little consequence to gamers Stateside.

However, for those in the UK and Europe looking forward to the game's heavy dose of action, role-playing and conspiracy-filled plot, it means that they will at least get to experience the title in some form prior to Christmas - and prior to the full game's arrival in February, of course.

Although Eidos has confirmed with us that an Xbox and PC demo of Deus Ex: IW will be out in December, an exact date has yet to be finalised. The seventh or eight of the month was suggested, but it appears that nothing is yet written in stone. Demo content is being kept a closely guarded secret as well.

More news as we get it; but in the meantime you can download and check out a new DE: IW-related movie that's essentially a video interview with Ion Storm legend Warren Spector that also contains plenty of footage from the title.
