Zelda bonus disc available through Stars!

The Zelda compilation given away with the Mario Kart hardware bundle can now be attained through Ninty's catalogue system
The brilliant Zelda Collector's Edition bonus disc, given away with Mario Kart GameCube bundle, will be available from Nintendo's Stars Catalogue from December 1.

Good news for hardcore fans of GameCube who have already racked up several star points; not quite such good news if you blew all your points on Golden Sun wallpaper or suchlike.

See, to qualify for the disc you'll need to have accumulated 4,500 star points. Seeing as you currently earn just 250 stars for each game you snap up from Nintendo, that works out at 18 games, potentially setting you back a whopping £720. Ouch. It'd be far cheaper to get the disk buy purchasing another GameCube; we're sure Nintendo wouldn't disapprove...

Just in case you've not been paying attention, the Zelda disc contains the original NES versions of The Legend of Zelda title and Zelda II: Link's Adventure, as well as N64 games Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. A demo of 'Cube's Zelda The Wind Waker is also included. Which, let's face it, is worth 4,500 of even a currency as twee as "Stars".
