AirForce Delta Storm: stunning new movie and images

As one of the handful of titles that is currently giving us an inkling of what the mighty Xbox is capable of, AirForce Delta Storm is one of the most eagerly-anticipated games for the system. The game sees you taking the controls of one of a gargantuan collection of 72 planes, many of which must be unlocked. Thereis also a whopping 50 missions to fly through, ranging from all-out assaults on air and ground targets to defending craft from an enemy onslaught.

Konami has also seen fit to include varying control methods, hoping to add considerable depth to the gameplay. The Novice method is geared towards hardcore, arcade shooting, whereas Expert offers a more sim-like experience, with more complex controls and functions at your disposal. What really makes this game stand out, however, is the breathtaking quality of the visuals. Not only are environments and aircraft beautifully modelled, but they are given a sheen of irresistible magnificence thanks to incredible use of real-time lighting effects and shadowing. iBok!i is the word that springs to mind.Gamers will be able to get their rapidly moistening palms on AirForce Delta Storm on November 8 in the US, when Xbox launches.
