Gran Turismo 5: Final code, hugely contrasting viewpoints

After a five year wait, we've only got a few hours until Gran Turismo 5 launches, and the global review embargo breaks tomorrow morning, at 8am Wednesday, 24th November. We've had final retail code since Monday, and thought it would be interesting to compare the initial thoughts of two huge GT fans, both PSM3 writers, who've been playing the game for a fair few hours. Their impressions couldn't be more shockingly disparate, both for and against; a primer for what we can expect from reviews tomorrow, which could vary anywhere from a glowing 9/10s, to angry 5/10s...

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - exclusive review in NEW issue of PSM3 on-sale now!

    91. That's the Metacritic review score awarded to Assassin's Creed 2 when it launched in 2009, based on over 70 critic's opinions. Oddly, only one year later, cynics suggest the follow up, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, smacks of a cash in, and that one year isn't enough time to craft a true sequel. What's the truth? Find out in our world-first PS3 review of AC Brotherhood in the new issue of PSM3...

Five sad, but obvious, reasons that Enslaved didn't sell very well

Namco Bandai's interesting, original and, well, good action adventure Enslaved has sold only 151,983 copies worldwide, leading to lots of internet chin stroking about why such a good game should 'flop' so notably. Sure, 151k sounds decent, but when you consider that's a global sale, and - to quote an extreme counter example - FIFA 11 has sold over a million copies in the UK alone; it's a far from stellar performance. Why? Well, it's not as mysterious as some would have you believe.
